Postpartum Support
Recovery and Wellness Support
Did you know it can take months for the human body to recover from birth? Whether you had a vaginal birth or surgical birth, there is a lot of change happening in your body during the first few weeks postpartum and the best thing you can do for your recovery is to rest, stay warm and fill your body with nutritious foods.
It is hard to think about taking a few weeks off from the obligations of a busy life with a new baby, but you will lessen the chance of physical complications and reduce the chances of postpartum depression when you do. It is also a great opportunity for the family to bond with and get to know the baby. A doula can help you focus on making this time easier and positively memorable.
As a certified postpartum doula, I have the knowledge and experience to answer questions with the most up-to-date information and to share tips and tricks for how to manage the emotional journey of newborn care and parenting. I can also provide an extra set of hands around the house to help when you want time alone, need a shower or a nap, or when you want bonding time with the baby or their siblings.
I offer customized packages starting with a minimum of 12 hours of support.
Together we will create a plan that is catered to the specific needs of your family.
Included in every package are the following:
- Maternal/Parental recovery support
- Normalizing newborn sleep, behavior, and cues.
-Basic newborn care (swaddling, diapering, burping, etc)
- Baby feeding support (chest or bottle-fed)
-On-site childcare while parent/s bond with baby or practice self-care
-Light cooking, meal preparation, meal planning.
-Basic housekeeping, laundry, and dishes.
Every client also receives a welcome package that includes information about local resources
and programs that offer support for new parents.
