Prenatal, Birth and Postpartum

Comfort and Care

Most doulas, myself included, offer packages that follow a standard template of care that covers all the basics but the fact is, it's not what is included in the package that matters as much as how the relationship with the doula feels and how safe and valued that they make you feel in their presence.

Birth is an intimately emotional experience that will forever change your life and it is important that the people you allow into that space are people you can trust to help you feel confident, and secure during every stage of your labour and birth.

Customizing a labour and birth package to include options that are important to you, for either a home birth or a hospital birth, is an exciting step in the process of considering your birth wishes and I work with all my clients to build that wish list before labour begins.

The following is offered to all clients

- Two in-person prenatal visits

- Phone, text, and email support

- Matching partner support

- On-call for the birth from 38 weeks through to delivery

- Virtual support during early labour

- In-person support once active labour begins

- Labour support and comfort management

- Immediate post-birth support

- Homecoming support if desired

-Two 3 hour Postpartum visits

Every client also receives a welcome package that is tailored to the options

they are choosing for their journey to becoming a parent.

“It is a matter of the woman being comfortable, not stressed, in a place where she feels safe, without people fussing, without other people stressing, without anyone else trying to have her baby for her, no clocks, no timing, no telling her what her body already knows."
